Other than the design and storage space, you should also consider what kind of material you want the bath vanity to be. Wood is the most common materials when it comes to bathroom vanity furniture. You can also opt to purchase ones that are made from stronger materials like granite, marble, etc. However, the cost is much higher when going for bath furniture that are made from stronger materials.
A really simple way to update your bathroom without doing a full remodel, and without spending a lot of money, is to replace your bathroom vanity. Bathroom vanities can cost as little as $100 (depending on the size you need), up to a couple thousand depending on what your tastes and budget are. I am going to talk about several different options that are available for different budget levels to help you get the bathroom of your dreams.
An MDF vanity with veneers is a Medium Density Fiberboard. MDF is made up of very fine particles of wood that are refined and mixed with waxes and resins that glue the particles together then it is pressed into a boards that are laminated with veneers. MDF works great with dowels but doesn't work well with screws. Some argue that formaldehyde that is used in the gluing process leaks into the room unless the piece is sealed well. There is really no way of knowing if the MDF is sealed though. These vanities mostly came from China or other overseas countries. MDF is also more susceptible to water damage. Steam showers next to an MDF vanity probably isn't a good idea.
